The first season for LeBron James in Los Angeles as a Laker has not gone as planned, with the team currently five and a half games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. But off the court, James continues to expand his media and business empire.
The latest: James’ digital media company Uninterrupted will announce plans today for a third season of its award-winning original video series Kneading Dough, which explores the life-changing financial realities professional athletes face. The first guest of the new season is four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles. She joins past interviewees like Serena Williams, Draymond Green and Ben Simmons.
Interviews are conducted by James’ longtime business partner Maverick Carter and are typically edited down to between eight and 10 minutes. But starting today, the full-length, unedited interviews, which often run longer than 45 minutes, will be available to download as a podcast.
The first podcast available is a 2017 interview with James in which he talked about eschewing a $15 million guaranteed endorsement from McDonald’s to focus on his relationship with Blaze Pizza as an investor, endorser and franchisee. Subsequent podcasts will be released bimonthly and live on Apple, Spotify and Google Stitcher.
Chase Bank continues its role as presenting sponsor of Kneading Dough, in addition to its support of the LeBron James Family Foundation.

“Normalizing conversations around personal finance has been a priority for Chase since we started the Kneading Dough series,” says Lois Backon, head of corporate partner marketing at JPMorgan Chase. “The launch of the podcasts will give everyone the opportunity to hear the full, unedited interviews, and we hope they’ll inspire consumers to talk about money and learn about financial topics.”
